I fished this past Thursday night with a friend, Greg Tachney, on Old Hickory Lake. Gregg had never been night fishing and was looking forward to it. We started out at our 1st spot and about the 4th cast was a small KY Spot. I noticed the current really starting to flow. I really thought it would turn the fish on. I caught fish thru out the night but nothing either in the right species or the right size. I managed to catch a Sauger, 2 big drum, Largmouth, smallmouth, KY Spots and even a Sunfish. Gregg finally managed a small bass on a jig. Needless to say we did not win. There was 19 boats and only 6 boats caught fish so it was pretty tough on a lot of good fisherman. Gregg was pretty pumped about fishing at night and can't wait to go again and hopefully when the fish are biting for us.
