Old Hickory F-3 Bassmasters

7-14-07 F-3 Bassmasters had a club tourny out of Davis Corner. We took off at 5:15 hoping to beat the rush of PBF, OHPP and a few other tournaments.
I went to my 1st spot just down from the steam plant and worked the grass with flukes, worms,
sweet vibrations and just managed 1 15" fish on a fluke. I caught a few dinks but nothing worth staying in the grass.
I wanted to use this tournament as a tune up for next weekends Bassmaster Weekend Series 2-day divisional. I decided to do some ledge searching. We have gotten a little bit of rain and temps have come down a little. I thought the fish might move back to shallower ledges. I hit a ledge at 8:30 and quickly caught my big fish of 3.75lbs. At 9am the bite turned on. My next 3 fish were in the 2 pound class and did not stay in my live well very long. Within the next 15 minutes I boated 8 three pound class bass. So I culled out the smaller fish on my way to a 5 bass limit for 16.48lbs. 9:30 the bite was over. I am not going to go into too much detail of where and how. I plan to use this spot next weekend. Like I have said before this lake and I have a love - hate relationship. Today I loved it, next week may be a different story.
